What is the outlook for Broken Capillaries?

You should expect to see marked improvement over 1 to 3 sessions and be satisfied with your results for sometime. However, there is currently no known cure for this condition so further broken capillaries may develop in the future which may require further treatment if you so desire.

Treatment can improve the overall appearance of the skin.

Treatment Options

Norseld Y-lite Laser

Capillary treatments can be performed very quickly with most capillaries treated during the session disappearing immediately. Treatment method is decided based on area, extent and size of the capillaries.

Pricing:

$150 per 5 minute session

Your questions answered

How does laser treatment for broken capillaries work?

The Norseld Y-Lite Laser produces intense pulsed yellow light to precisely trace and erase unsightly broken capillaries. The yellow light from the Y-Lite laser immediately shrinks the capillaries to provide instant cosmetic results. This happens because yellow light is readily absorbed by the red pigment in blood to shrink the blood vessel, and is achieved with minimal discomfort.

What does Y-Lite laser treatment involve?

The Y-Lite laser treatment involves tracing the broken capillaries with the laser beam which immediately shrinks the blood vessel.

Is there any downtime?

There will be a fine scabbing, more often described as a 'crusting' over the site of the capillary treatment. It is able to be easily covered with mineral make up, and it will usually disappear within a week.

How many treatments will I need?

This depends on the severity and extent of the broken capillaries, however, most people see obvious results after one treatment, but another one or two follow up treatments may be needed to provide optimum results. It is important to note here, that if the underlying causes of broken capillaries are not targeted and dealt with, then broken capillaries are able to re-form over time.

Lamprobe radio-frequency

Radio-frequency is an excellent treatment option for the removal of face capillaries.

Pricing:

$150 per 5 minute session

Your questions answered

How does Lamprobe Radio- frequency treatment for broken capillaries work?

Lamprobe operates using high radio frequency to conduct heat. The heat is channeled through a small disposable metal treatment probe to effectively target the fluid component of blood causing the capillary wall to collapse causing the vessel to disintegrate.

What does Radio-frequency treatment involve?

This Lamprobe radio-frequency probe is lightly tapped against the affected area, and the heat from the radio frequency energy is attracted to the fluid within your capillaries, effectively vapourising them.

What should I expect after treatment?

Expect the treated area to red and potentially slightly swollen for several hours post procedure. The blood in some of the larger treated capillaries may appear darker for up to a week post procedure with some crusting/scabbing over the treated capillaries. This crusting/scabbing will fall off within a 2 week period.

How many treatments will I need?

This depends on the severity of your condition. Initial treatment focuses on treating the capillaries most obvious and bothersome to you. In some cases a cold or third treatment may be required to treat smaller feeder capillaries to further improve results.

Larger capillaries around the nose can be more difficult to treat requiring further treatment , patience and some persistence yielding substantial improvement.

Treatment sessions are performed in 5 minute blocks depending on the number of broken capillaries present and individual tolerance to the discomfort associated with the procedure.

How long do results take?

Capillary treatments can be performed very quickly with most capillaries treated during the session disappearing immediately.

Is treatment painful?

Treatment using the Lamprobe Radiofrequency is very quick and could be described as a very brief hot stinging sensation.
